Burrendah Beef
Our Vision
Quality Grass-Fed Beef from Biodiverse Pastures
In early 2022, Penny and Neil McMullin took over the ownership and management of a 50 hectare grazing property on the edge of Corner Inlet, near Yanakie, Victoria, Australia.

Having spent up to that point a city and suburban life, and being aware of the serious environmental challenges facing the world as a result of atmospheric accumulation of CO2 in our lifetimes, we set upon a project which aims to restore carbon back to the soil, while at the same time provides the most wholesome and nutritious foods generated from our land.

Rotational Grazing
Carbon back to the soil

We use non-selective grazing techniques to feed our animals. Making use of mobile electric fences, we are able to mimic the natural roam and graze style of ruminant herds prior to domestication. They are compelled to eat all grasses available, in a competitive environment. In this way perennial grasses are encouraged to return, and with extension of their root systems, over time, carbon returns to the soil as well.
